Chris began Public Practice as a Chartered Accountant in July of 1974 after becoming a Chartered Accountant in that year. He was in practice in the CBD of Brisbane in a medium sized practice between 1974 and 1987. He returned to Sydney when he acquired the practice of Whitehead Dingley & Co in 1988.Chris holds the following qualifications

• Master of Commerce from the University of New England

(M.Comm)

• Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW

(B.Com)

• Diploma of Financial Services in Financial Planning

(DipFinPlan)

• Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand

(FCA)

• Chartered Tax Advisor

(CTA)

He also has the following registrations;

• Registered Tax Agent (TA 57253002)

 

Chris’s experience includes the following;

• Over 40 year’s experience in public practice as a Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor. Commenced current accounting practice 1 July 1988
• Was a partner in a medium sized Brisbane firm between 1 July 1974 and 30 June 1986
• Chris was commissioned in the Royal Australian Air Force through Sydney University Squadron where he was commissioned as a Pilot Officer
• Chris saw active service in Vietnam, with No 36 squadron RAAF between 1966 and 1967

Kate joined the Whitehead Dingley & Betar team in 2005 after working for Ernst & Young in their specialist tax section after her graduation from University. Since then Kate has qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Kate manages a whole range of clients from individuals to companies, trusts and partnerships. Over the years she has developed her accounting expertise. Her dynamic attitude and approach to our firm’s clients is always well-regarded.

Leeanne Hodgson – Senior Accountant

Leeanne is a Senior Chartered Accountant with 30 years work experience in Accounting, Management, Business Analysis and Training. She has spent 7-8 years working with Chartered Accounting firms specialising in Tax and Business services. Leeanne has extensive experience in small business and is a small franchise business owner who also owned and operated a Master Franchise Business for 15 years with her husband . Leeanne has spent 20 years teaching and training students and other Accountants in Taxation, Auditing and all aspects of Accounting in University, for the Institute of Chartered Accountants and in the work place.
